Ukrainian Drones Disable 267 Energy Nodes Since July in Occupied Territories

(CRIMEA AND SOUTHERN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian unmanned systems forces have struck 27 energy facilities in Crimea and the southern occupied territories between 17th and 22nd August, as part of an ongoing operation to disrupt Russian military logistics and infrastructure.

According to a statement from the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, known by the call sign Magyar, a total of 267 energy nodes have been disabled since the operation began on 1st July.

The strikes targeted a range of facilities including the 500 kV Taman electrical substation in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, gas turbine power stations in Crimea, and multiple 110 kV substations across Crimea and Donetsk Oblast.

In a separate maritime operation codenamed “MoloChka,” Ukrainian forces are blockading the movement of Russian shadow fleet vessels in the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, while restricting movement in the northern and north eastern parts of the Black Sea.

During August, unmanned systems forces struck 36 shadow fleet vessels. Since the maritime operation began on 6th July, a total of 242 vessels have been hit, including 134 in the Azov Sea and 108 in the Black Sea.

The strikes were carried out by multiple units including the 412th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Nemesis,” the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion “Reid,” the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Birds of Magyar,” the 9th Battalion “Kairos,” the 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Rarog,” the 1st Unmanned Systems Centre, the “Phoenix” grouping of the State Border Guard Service, the 20th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “K-2,” and the 9th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade.

The operation is part of a broader campaign codenamed “Crimean Switch Off,” aimed at disrupting energy supplies to Russian occupation forces and degrading their ability to sustain military operations.

Footage of the strikes was released by the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
