Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Port of Yeysk in Krasnodar Krai

(YEYSK, KRASNODAR KRAI, RUSSIA) – Ukrainian drones struck the Russian port of Yeysk overnight, with thick black smoke indicating a significant fire at what is believed to be oil storage infrastructure, according to analysis of satellite imagery and local reports.

The strike targeted a section of the port where several oil tanks are located. Some sources suggested a vessel may have been hit, as Yeysk is one of the ports where remnants of the Russian shadow fleet fled following Ukrainian strikes on Black Sea shipping. However, geolocation data points towards port infrastructure rather than a ship.

Marine traffic data showed no vessels transmitting from the port at the time of the strike, though this may be unreliable as ships in the area often disable their tracking systems.

The attack comes as Russia experiences a severe fuel shortage, making every oil storage facility a strategically valuable target. The loss of fuel reserves at Yeysk will further strain Russian logistics.

In a separate development, the Ukraine Volunteer Centre shared exclusive footage of a drone strike on a Russian supply vehicle south of Selydove in Donetsk Oblast. The vehicle, described as improvised and poorly constructed, was hit using AI assisted targeting.

The strike occurred on the main supply road near the Pokrovsk axis, a key area of ongoing operations. Russian troops can be seen scattering before the drone impact, which resulted in a direct hit on the vehicle.

Footage of the Yeysk strike was analysed by open source intelligence researchers. The exclusive drone strike video was provided by the Ukraine Volunteer Centre.
