Ukrainian Drone Unit Releases Folk Curse Video for Russian Troops

(KYIV) – Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance units have released a striking video message directed at Russian forces, blending traditional folk curses with modern warfare. The footage, published on 18th September 2026, features a rendition of a Ukrainian song that invokes a litany of poetic misfortunes upon the invaders.

The video, titled “Shobla of the Week, Episode 61,” was filmed by pilots of the 414th SBS Brigade, known as “Birds of the Magyar.” The unit operates under the command of Robert Magyar, a prominent figure in Ukraine’s drone warfare programme and head of the Unmanned Forces.

The lyrics, delivered in a traditional folk style, call for a series of afflictions to befall the Russian troops. They sing of black clouds from the north bringing plague, and express a wish for a viper to nest in every boot, for Kherson mosquitoes to bite them day and night, and for their heads to burst before the first star appears. The song continues with a desire for their equipment to rot in the mud of the Donbas and for their “wretched war” to stick in their throats.

The unit’s message concludes with a final, biting wish: that they take their “mad tsar” with them as they flee over mountains and seas, so that no trace of their kind remains. The video ends with a promise that no “orc” will live to see dawn, and that crows will sing them their last lullaby.
