(KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guards from the “STRIKS” rapid response commandant’s office of the 4th Border Detachment have destroyed nine Shahed attack drones during a night interception along the South Slobozhanskyi direction in Kharkiv Oblast.
The drone crews, operating as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, detected and eliminated the nine unmanned aerial vehicles before they could strike their intended targets.
The Russian drones were aimed at Ukrainian defence positions and civilian areas in Kharkiv Oblast.
Russian tactics remain unchanged, involving the simultaneous launch of multiple targets in an attempt to overwhelm air defence systems. All nine drones were destroyed on approach, before they could cause any damage.
The State Border Guard Service stated that the result was achieved not by chance but through the systematic daily work of personnel who maintain control of the airspace around the clock.
The press service noted that the enemy will change routes and tactics, but the STRIKS unit will continue to neutralise them.
The footage and information were released by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on 1st September 2026.
