Ukraine Strikes 285 Russian Shadow Fleet Vessels in Ten Weeks

(KYIV) – Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces have struck 285 vessels belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet over a ten week period in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, according to the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The operation, codenamed “MoLoChKa,” has effectively blocked movement in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, while shipping in the northern and north eastern areas of the Black Sea has been significantly disrupted, said Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.

Ukrainian forces struck 215 vessels in July, 54 in August and a further 16 between 1st and 11th September 2026, Brovdi confirmed.

The commander released footage showing a new attack on a sanctioned oil tanker belonging to the shadow fleet, which was accompanied by a Russian helicopter. Such tankers transport oil, with proceeds from sales being directed by Russia towards financing its war against Ukraine, he said.

Operation “MoLoChKa” remains ongoing, Brovdi added.
