Ukraine Destroys Wildberries Hub in Voronezh Drone Strike

(VORONEZH REGION, RUSSIA) – A Wildberries distribution centre in Russia’s Voronezh region has been destroyed by a massive fire following a Ukrainian drone attack, marking the latest strike on the e-commerce giant’s logistics network.

Footage circulating on social media shows the facility engulfed in flames, with workers heard reacting as the blaze took hold. “I am here now, at the facility. Column K3 is burning,” one individual states in the video.

The attack comes as the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s forces continue to face systematic strikes on infrastructure deep inside Russian territory. Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Wildberries logistics hubs in recent weeks, citing the company’s role in supplying dual use equipment including drone components to the Russian war effort.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strike in his evening address, stating Ukraine’s deep strike campaign is achieving results. “Today there is another achievement of our defence forces of Ukraine. Another facility of the Russian oil refining industry has been hit. And the distance is significant, more than 2,500 kilometres, and this is in Tobolsk, in Siberia. Now this region is accessible for our deep strikes,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian leader added: “We are taking all necessary steps to ensure that our deep strikes, our Ukrainian medium range sanctions plan, work as effectively as possible. Today we identified additional priorities and adjusted tasks for August.”

Zelenskyy noted that internal polling in Russia shows a growing number of people seeking an end to the war. “This must become even more palpable. Putin and his administration, his FSB operatives and everyone else in the aggressor state must understand that there is no alternative other than peace,” he said.

“For the first time in Russian history, they no longer have a safe strategic rear. And for the first time, they cannot fight without supplements from North Korea,” Zelenskyy stated. He revealed that Russia is preparing to deploy additional North Korean contingents on its territory and has received additional ballistic missiles from Pyongyang.

“Ballistics from North Korea, other weapons, are being improved thanks to collaboration with Russia. The more North Korean strikes there are here in Ukraine, in Europe, the more applications of their missiles and soldiers, the more they will correct their imperfections and ignorance, the correspondingly greater the danger will later be for Japan, for the Republic of Korea, for the Philippines, and other countries in the region,” he warned.

Zelenskyy also reported speaking with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, noting his team will be in the region shortly. “There are things that are already developing well in our relations. I count on reciprocity in support,” he said.

On the domestic front, Zelenskyy said repair works continue in Odesa following Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. “As of the evening, almost 70,000 families were still without electricity. All necessary forces are engaged. There were Russian strikes on energy facilities and other critical infrastructure in Sumy region, Dnipropetrovsk region, in Zaporizhzhia region, and in Kharkiv region. Everywhere there is an immediate response from our services,” he said.

Footage of the Voronezh Wildberries facility fire was released via social media channels.
