(CHERNIHIV OBLAST, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guards have destroyed a range of Russian military equipment, including FPV drones, jet-powered Shahed drones, machine guns, radar systems, electronic warfare equipment and antennas, in day and night operations along the northern border.
Pilots of the 105th Border Guard Detachment, named after Prince Volodymyr the Great, have been systematically targeting enemy assets, reducing them to burning wreckage that no longer poses a threat to Ukrainian military personnel or civilians.
“Everything is turned into burning, mutilated metal and plastic that will no longer trouble our military and civilians,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (DPSU) said in a statement.
To intercept enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, Ukrainian border guards are employing both conventional means such as small arms and various types of interceptor drones. The operations are part of ongoing efforts to counter Russian aerial reconnaissance and strike capabilities in the northern border region.
The Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment is actively integrating modern weapons and equipment into its arsenal. According to the DPSU press service, the unit maintains well-trained and motivated personnel who are prepared to train and equip new recruits with all necessary resources.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine released footage of the operations. No specific date was provided for the engagements, which occurred in Chernihiv Oblast.
