(OBUKHOVO, MOSCOW REGION) – A significant fire broke out at the Atlant warehouse complex in Obukhovo, Moscow Region, on 18th August 2026, following a reported Ukrainian drone strike. Video footage circulating on social media shows at least one direct hit on a warehouse facility, with a column of smoke rising from the industrial park.
The Atlant complex is a large logistics hub comprised of numerous storage facilities situated approximately 40 kilometres east of Moscow. It lies outside the primary air defence network protecting the Russian capital.
Military analysts suggest the facility may be functioning as a logistical node, possibly handling goods for the Russian online retailer Wildberries. There is speculation that the company may be using independent sites like Atlant to distribute inventory, potentially to mitigate risks to its main hubs, some of which are believed to have been targeted in previous Ukrainian operations.
At the time of reporting, the resulting fire appeared to be contained, with no footage yet emerging of a wider conflagration. The precise extent of the damage and any casualties remains unconfirmed.
