(KERCH, CRIMEA) – Ukrainian forces have conducted a series of overnight operations targeting Russian military infrastructure in occupied Crimea and the Krasnodar region, with a sustained assault on the port of Novorossiysk and separate probing actions near the Kerch Bridge.
Video footage verified from the area shows intense air defence activity around the Crimean Bridge, with Russian systems deploying flares, laser spotlights and heavy gunfire against unidentified aerial targets. No damage to the bridge structure has been reported, and military analysts suggest the operation may have been a reconnaissance mission to test the defences surrounding the strategic crossing.
The primary focus of the Ukrainian operation appears to have been Novorossiysk, where a major attack unfolded over a five-hour period. Multiple targets were struck at the port facility, including the Novorossiysk grain products terminal, which had been storing approximately 300,000 tonnes of grain believed to have been seized from Ukrainian agricultural regions.
Satellite thermal imaging data indicates significant heat signatures across several key locations within the port area. The grain storage facilities and port loading infrastructure show clear evidence of strikes, alongside the oil loading terminals that have been targeted in previous operations.
The most significant activity was registered at the Black Sea Fleet naval base, where intense heat signatures were detected over berthing areas and port infrastructure, suggesting possible damage to Russian naval assets. The base has been a recurring target for Ukrainian strikes throughout the conflict.
Thermal data also showed activity in residential areas near the port, though analysts suggest this may indicate Russian electronic warfare systems or air defence batteries operating in the vicinity rather than combat damage. The heavy industrial zone in the area registers consistent thermal signatures due to normal operations and was not identified as a strike location.
