(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Ukraine exported 2.6 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops in the first month of the 2026/2027 marketing year, as of 31 July.
The figures were released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, citing data from the State Customs Service.
Since the start of the current marketing year, Ukraine has exported 1.05 million tonnes of wheat, compared to 744,000 tonnes in the same period last year. Barley exports reached 294,000 tonnes, up from 267,000 tonnes a year earlier.
Maize exports totalled 1.24 million tonnes, nearly double the 627,000 tonnes shipped by the same date last year. No rye exports have been recorded so far this season.
Flour exports amounted to just 1,800 tonnes in the first month, half the volume exported during the equivalent period of the previous marketing year.
The shipping of vessels to Ukrainian seaports was temporarily suspended as of 22 July due to the security situation. In response to daily attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, the government is working with international partners on solutions to protect export logistics.
A programme of accessible financing is being developed for agricultural producers who, as a result of the export halt through the ports of Greater Odesa, are unable to sell grain at economically viable prices.
