(MOSCOW OBLAST, RUSSIA) – Ukraine’s Defence Forces destroyed a warehouse complex in Moscow Oblast using FP-1 drones, according to the Ukrainian defence company Fire Point. Preliminary reports indicate that warehouses belonging to the company “Modern Warehouse Technologies” are on fire.
“A Russian Pantsir air defence missile and gun system in Moscow Oblast against the backdrop of burning warehouses,” the statement reads. “Analogovnet operated as intended.”
Moscow and its surroundings were attacked by hundreds of drones overnight Saturday into Sunday, killing two people. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 186 drones were downed in the city, while Moscow regional governor Andrei Vorobyev said that 249 were destroyed in the region. Two people died, six were injured and 400 were evacuated, according to Mr Vorobyev.
A Russian oil refinery was also on fire following the drone attack, according to the Associated Press. On the night of 20th September, OSINT channels reported drone attacks in Moscow Oblast, Voronezh and Ryazan. Heavy FP-1 strike drones were spotted among the unmanned aerial vehicles involved.
The strikes follow a statement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine is ready to stop strikes on Russia’s critical infrastructure if partners ensure the same from Moscow’s side.
