Ukrainian Drone Forces Hit 412 Energy Targets in Two and a Half Months of “Crimea Blackout” Operation

(KYIV) – Ukrainian unmanned systems forces have struck 412 energy targets across occupied territories and inside Russia over two and a half months of the “Crimea Blackout” operation, with 38 energy nodes confirmed hit in the second and third weeks of September alone.

The operation, which began on 6th July 2026 and continued through 22nd September, has targeted high voltage substations and gas distribution stations across Crimea, Russian territory, and occupied areas of southern and eastern Ukraine.

According to a situation report released by the Unmanned Systems Forces command, the latest wave of strikes included 10 targets in Crimea, nine in occupied Donetsk oblast, 13 in occupied Luhansk oblast, four inside Russia, and one each in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

The operation involved the 414th Separate Brigade “Madyar’s Birds”, the 412th Separate Brigade “Nemesis”, the 9th Separate Brigade, the 20th Separate Brigade “K-2”, the 413th Separate Regiment “Raid”, the 429th Separate Brigade “Achilles”, the 1st Separate Centre, the State Border Guard Service “Phoenix” unit, and the 427th Separate Brigade “Rarog”.
