Ukraine Destroys 50-Vehicle Russian Convoy in Donetsk

(DONETSK OBLAST) – Ukrainian forces have destroyed a large Russian military logistics convoy in Donetsk Oblast, resulting in the loss of an estimated 50 vehicles. The strike occurred on a 648 metre stretch of road approximately 15 kilometres from the front line and east of the settlement of Pokrovsk.

The attack was captured in a series of drone videos which show multiple precision strikes hitting a column of stationary vehicles. A subsequent aftermath video, reportedly filmed by a Russian soldier, reveals the scale of the destruction, with wrecked and burnt-out vehicles lining the roadway.

The convoy appeared to be composed primarily of supply vehicles, including a significant number of vans and civilian trucks that had been pressed into military service. The column also contained various other vehicles, including sport utility vehicles and cars. A damaged and abandoned howitzer was also observed at the scene.

The exact reason for the convoy’s stationary position, which made it a vulnerable target, remains unclear. Initial analysis suggests the halt may have been caused by a blockage further up the road or a command failure. The final intended destination of the convoy is unconfirmed, though it is likely the vehicles were heading towards the contested area of Kostiantynivka, the focus of a current Russian offensive.
